After months of teasing, The Grand Tour has finally unleashed the trailer, for their all new special. The series is the first of its kind as the trio ditch the studio audience and embark upon a series of road trips, with some almost leaving them for dead as we mentioned in our previous video.
The first road trip kicks off in Cambodia and Vietnam as the hosts get to grips with something completely new.
Petrol heads watching the show are in for a huge shake-up, as the hosts switch high end cars for boats and set out on the journey of a lifetime.
The Trip
Setting off on the Tonlรฉ Sap Lake they make their way across an unforgiving 800km stretch across the lake and Mekong Delta.
To begin their voyage, the trio choose three entirely different boats.to carry them across the rough waters in a windswept Vietnam.
Jeremy Clarkson opts for a recreation of a Vietnam war-era patrol boat. Meanwhile Hammond opts for a Miami Vice-style speed boat and May picks a classic 1939 wooden river cruiser.
Danger at the South Chinese Sea
The voyage was not without risk as Clarkson previously revealed four fisherman were killed.just โinches awayโ from where The Grand Tour had been filming.
Moreover extreme weather caused them to abandon their mission at one point as things became all too dangerous for the boys.
And fans get a glimpse of just how dangerous the special was to film in the first look teaser.
Jeremy can be heard shouting “oh shit” as he crashes his boat into other smaller fishing boats.
Meanwhile the trio can be seen struggling to control the boats in stormy weather..
